Land and Property Information, Department of Lands (LPI) ensures that plans lodged for registration comply with clauses set out in theSurveying Regulation 2006, particularly in relation to plan orientation and placing and/or connecting to survey marks. Surveyors should also take into account the Surveyor Generals Directions, paying particular attention to direction No.7.

Plans of survey prepared for lodgment in LPI must evidence the datum line adopted and all permanent and reference marks placed and/or connected to, as required by the Regulation.
