Link to Legislation site

15.1 The Leasehold Strata Plan

15.2 Creating A Leasehold Scheme

15.3 How Are The Titles Held?

The Strata Schemes (Leasehold Development) Act 1986 enabled land leased from a Prescribed Authority to be subdivided in a similar manner to the Strata Schemes (Freehold Development) Act 1973 and includes the facility to strata subdivide part of a building. [See also 'Strata Schemes Over Parts of Buildings']

A plan must be accompanied with an individual lease for each lot and the common property.

The plan and leases are registered concurrently and certificate of title issued for the leasehold estates in the lots and common property.
